ACTUALITY: ARE YOU TOWING LEGALLY?
On a late Sunday afternoon, Basil* and Trevor*, his father-in-law and boat mate for the day, were packed and ready to go after a fabulous weekend‘s fishing on the Vaal River. They’d arrived late afternoon on Friday and had experienced one of those fabulous weekends of bass fishing that makes all keen bass fisherfolk go back weekend after weekend.
They made certain the boat was securely resting on the trailer, motor lowered onto the transom stay complete with red hazard flag tied to the prop and that all the rear lights ¬– brake and indicators – were working as they should. In addition, they checked the travelling lights because they would not make their home destination before dark.
