ADVANCED BASSING: The Topshot For Bass fishing?

We know about monofilament, braid and fluorocarbon as a main line. Then there there is braid as a carrier line with a fluorocarbon leader or sometimes monofilament. For other facets one can also have a trace or a tippet. The Topshot is mainly a saltwater rig, but also for longline freshwater facets such as carp angling where it is normally called a shockleader.

But a Topshot on a bass rig is unheard of. It follows then, that I had to try it! Of course, I have to report back on my findings regarding this question that probably no-one has ever asked.
