AMERICAN IN AFRICA: THE MILLION DOLLAR BABY?

“love is in the air ...”

In June of 1932 George W. Perry registered the world record Largemouth Bass of 10,09 kg (22 lb. 4 oz) captured in Montgomery Lake, Georgia, USA.
In July of 2009 Manabu Kurita equaled the record with a fish caught in Lake Biwa, Shiga, Japan.

World record Largemouth Bass fever peaked in the early 1990’s, so much so the new world trophy was prematurely dubbed “The Million Dollar Baby.” Californians were regularly teasing the record books with twenty-plus pounders, and Mexico trophy catches were growing bigger and bigger. It was just a matter of time before riches would befall one lucky angler.
