The portable gas stove sets up easily and fits into a campsite as if designed for the setting. The dual burners are very powerful with 4,6kW or 15 000BTU’s available for cooking. The wide range control knobs ensure that you can set any flame from just keeping the pan warm to cooking the kettle in a few minutes.

The top is large enough to take any pot or pan (or kettle for that matter) and still have some space in between. Due to the unique design of the surface, it takes both a flat bottom or 3-legged pot with equal ease.

The ergonomics around the stove makes for easy operation, both from a seated or standing position. The height is just perfect.

The 15 000BTU flame is well protected from wind or draughts from underneath by clever use of a cylindrical sleeve – rest assured that the maximum heat will reach the cooking surface.

The stove is supplied with a hose and regulator to fit a 9kg cylinder, but it would be easy to counter fit one for smaller bottles.

This is one of the best and most important features for any angler camping next to the water, namely the windshield. It fits perfectly, keeps the wind out and folds easily into a flat piece that packs neatly into the box. In unison with the cylindrical sleeve below the cooking surface, it makes for effective cooking even in the wind.

These bolt-on plates protect the knobs in case the gas stove falls over and the gas is accidentally activated when it hits the ground. The protection plate will be hit first and protect the knob. It also works very well to protect the flame-setting knob from dripping fat or oil. I also acts as a neat little table for cooking utensils.

The detachable legs are secured with easy-to-use ringed bolts that secure the legs and can be tightened or loosened using some leverage with a rod or screwdriver.

CONCLUSION

The Deluxe dual burner portable gas stove is surely a piece of equipment that will make your camping life much easier, especially if you are someone who likes cooking at the water without the hassle. It folds away neatly and is not bulky to transport at all. I do think that a custom-built hard plastic carry case would have rounded the package off nicely.
