MAJOR BASS FISHING: Inanda Dam July 2022

The Captain’s meeting was held on Saturday at 08h00, where the fishing times were agreed, with Saturday commencing at 08h00 and ending at 17h00. Sunday started at 06h00 until 12h00. The water level at Midmar was 101 %.The water temperature was in the region of 16 º C. The weather was cold and cloudy with very little wind. Turnout was good with 21 members attending the Fish-Off – 5 ladies, and 16 men. The fishing was tough, with only a few catching their limits and a couple bigger fish coming out. Most of the fish were found in the cleaner water above the bridge. The fishing can only improve with the full dams, water clarity improving and the spawning season approaching.
