The Claw Rig
This rig is a straight forward, no-nonsense carp catcher! It has been used to catch some of the most iconic carp in carp fishing’s history, such as Terry Hearn’s UK capture of “The Parrot”, a massive 63lbs carp from a tricky water known as Wasing, as well as numerous other well known specimens.
The rig is best used with bottom baits such as a 16mm boilie tipped with a grain of maize, or a nut with plastic corn, double tigers like Terry did to catch that fish, or any bait that takes your fancy as long as it’s a bottom bait – the weight of the bait helps…
