The NHP “Get Reel, Go Fish” Bass Fishing Competition is an annual event which takes place in the greater New Hanover, Wartburg and Dalton area in the KZN Midlands.
Participants have the opportunity to fish at more than 20 private farm dams on the day of the competition. In addition to the beautiful scenery that the area has to offer, the private dams also boast some fantastic fishing opportunities.
Over the years this competition has grown into the biggest bass fishing competition in the Southern Hemisphere based on numbers.
The “Get Reel, Go Fish” Bass Fishing Competition is a fundraising event for New Hanover Preparatory School. The event is organised by the school’s parents’ association and is supported by families and businesses in the community at large.
